What is Gra na gCrainn
Celtic Forest Bathing©?
We are delighted to introduce you to Gra na gCrainn, the Art of Sacred Forest Bathing in the Celtic Tradition. (This is not Shinrin-Yoku)
Gra na gCrainn = Love of Trees
In the Celtic Tradition, the focus is on honouring and respecting the Sacred Trees of the forest as sentient beings. In doing this, we also honour and respoect all the Creatures of the forest as well. It is essential for us to learn the ways of our Sacred Forest in order to respect, honour and protect the forest for future generations.
The key to Celtic Forest Bathing is communication. Communicating with the Trees, Plants and Creatures of the Forest with utmost honour and respect. As we communicate with the Trees and Plants of the Forest in the tradition of our Ancestors, the Trees and Plants of the Forest will respond by nurturing and healing us. Note: We must never attempt to get close to any creatures of the forest. Respect for the creatures also means respecting their privacy at all times.
Reconnect with our Celtic Ancestors with Grá na gCrainn Celtic Forest Bathing© the traditional ways of experiencing the forest, as practiced in Ireland and other Celtic nations for thousands of years.
With Grá na gCrainn Celtic Forest Bathing© there are always two ICFNT Certified Forest Practitioners© leading the group.
